Project Duties: Development, DevOps, UX/UI, QA, Project Management
Lelander tackled this project to meet the needs of today’s travelers. Goals included building responsive templates to accommodate new functionality and modern designs and reimagining the brand’s online booking flow. Core tasks included user experience design, usability testing, prototype creation, front-and-back-end development, and session management improvements to align with the new booking flow. We used .NET, Bootstrap 4, T-SQL, Umbraco, CSS, HTML and Google Maps API to meet the needs of the client. Dovetail, our agency partner on the project, provided us with fresh, on-brand designs and content to reinforce Drury’s friendly tone and “travel happy” tagline.
New competitors have changed hospitality industry norms and standards. Our UX team provided extensive research to help Drury Hotels reposition itself in the marketplace with its website. Next, our team created wireframes and prototypes of the reimagined booking flow.
The development team rebuilt pages with the new designs and provided a better user experience for all travelers by ensuring responsive functionality on mobile devices. This improved Google ratings, online visibility, and ease of booking for the user. Accommodating a wide variety of customer scenarios and criteria was a tremendous challenge. The Lelander team’s solution included meticulous organization, efficient QA testing and mindful project management.
